Manchester City under 18’s are touted as the most talented of the City youth academy and they certainly showed that tonight in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup semi-final.
Stoke City’s official Twitter account started the evening by trying to mock City, but Lee Carsley’s side put the Trotters firmly in their place with a massive 6-0 victory.
The home side were ahead at the Academy Stadium after just 8 minutes when Brahim Diaz went on a mesmerising run before Phil Foden added a second, again after an impressive bit of movement. They then made it three just before the break, as Lukas Nmecha nodded in from close range – his first of the night.
Manchester City weren’t going to stop there though, Demeaco Duhaney made it four just 7 minutes after the half-time interval before Nmecha slotted home a fifth.
And the 18-year-old forward completed the rout in the 78th minute, completing his hat-trick to make the scoreline 6-0.
