A very frustrating night for Manchester City saw them drop two points in the title race in what seemed to be a victory taken for granted by most. Stoke proved to be a tough team to break down in the end and poor finishing cost the blues with the chances that they did have.
The City Twittersphere was critical of our full-backs, decisions to rest certain players but also keen to move on to the next game, the start of a difficult run of fixtures for the blues.
Here’s what you had to say:
Some credit to Stoke first of all.
#mcfc gotta give Stoke credit for their nullifying tactics. @mcfc looked tired 1st half, better 2nd but couldn't put the ball in the net 😔💙

Apparently there was another game on tonight…
Feel for fellow #MCFC fans suffering at the Etihad tonight & missing the Barca game.

I would have loved to watch that comeback.
However I was at #MCFC 0-0 Stoke. 😔— Ashley Swift (@swifty19_89) March 8, 2017
If Clichy could cross…
Going to be so great when we finally have fullbacks who can defend and cross a ball. #MCFC

It's been said many times, but we're crying out for quality full-backs. Sagna's defensively sound, neither offer anything in attack. #mcfc

Does this deeper role suit KDB?
KdB was poor tonight. Don't say that too often..
Still created brilliant opportunities throughout the game esp for Sane & Kelechi.#MCFC

I think kdb was off his game tonight, he only really started playing when silva came on!! Hope he improves over the next few matches! #MCFC

Silva still a key player.
Frustrating night. Starting games too slow. Not enough intensity from the start. Only looked like scoring when silva was on. #MCFC

It seems resting players backfired.
Resting our season two best players in silva and Sterling was a mistake tonight, killed off the tiny chance of the league #MCFC

Fight for 2nd. Lacked creativeness without #Sterling & #Silva starting, Kev off his game tonight. Focus on #Mboro & #monaco #MCFC c'mon City

A positive note to end on. Still plenty to play for!
Easy to forget how great we've played recently. Tonight was poor but onwards & upwards. FA Cup, CL & top 4 spot to get. #MCFC
