It’s time to catch up on today’s news – here’s your City Summary:

City have today been linked with a new name to solve their ongoing problems at left-back – 27-year-old Real Sociedad defender, Yuri Berchiche.

Alternatively, the Sunday Express suggest that City will launch a bid for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.

On the opposite flank, we also have a new name linked. The Sunday People claim that City are keeping tabs on Southampton right-back Cedric Soares.

The Blues have once again been linked with a move for Sporting midfielder, William Carvalho, who is also Cedric Soares’ international team-mate.

The Sun have also weighed in on the gossip by linking the club with moves for Ryan Bertrand and Ben Gibson.

City would obviously much prefer to be producing their own talent at a fraction of the cost. One of the academy players with a great chance of breaking into the first-team is Jadon Sancho, who could be about to sign a new contract with the Blues.

Sancho has been earmarked by Pep Guardiola as a future first-team star, alongside fellow youth players, Brahim Diaz and Phil Foden.

Girona loanee Pablo Maffeo also harbours ambitions of playing regularly for the Blues next season, and continued his development in Spain by starting in Girona’s 5-1 thrashing of Getafe.

Maffeo could replace Pablo Zabaleta in the squad for next season, with the Argentine’s contract set to expire in the summer.

Zaba has urged City fans to get behind struggling goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, who endured sarcastic cheering at The Etihad on Wednesday night.

And finally, former youth-team player, Seko Fofana, has reportedly caught the eye of Juventus and a few others while playing for his current club, Udinese.

That’s it for today. Keep your eyes peeled on @City_Watch and the site, day and night, as we work to deliver the latest City news, views, and other high-quality content.
