Pep Guardiola and his side headed off to Abu Dhabi recently for a ‘warm weather training camp’ in which they met up with Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour.
There’s been a lot said about the season so far and questions asked of the side and Pep Guardiola, but the manager insists that Sheikh Mansour is happy with what he is seeing.
Speaking in his press conference today ahead of Huddersfield Town, Pep said:
“We met for the first time Sheikh Mansour and i was impressed with how he knew everything about us and it was nice to spend some time with him.
“He is so happy. He sees all the games and he sees the effort. He knows we make everything, we fight until the end.”
Pep Guardiola also confirmed that the team spent a large amount of time bonding in Abu Dhabi and not thinking about football, there are no fresh injuries and Vincent Kompany won’t be fit to face Huddersfield Town.
