Gabriel Jesus has given some insight on when he hopes to return to action for Manchester City, after answering a question on social media.
When quizzed on his possible return date, the 19-year-old Samba sensation responded, “When will I be back? Two months from now, God willing.”
Were Jesus to return in two months time, that would only leave a few Premier League fixtures for him to possibly feature in, with the last three fixtures being West Brom H (April 22), Middlesbrough A (April 29) and Crystal Palace A (May 6). The Manchester derby has also yet to be rescheduled and could slot in late in the season.
If City were to progress to the Champions League semi final, it would mean Jesus could be back in time for that, with the first leg games schedule for May 2-3 and the second leg fixtures on May 9-10.
City also remain in the FA Cup, with a Fifth Round replay against Huddersfield this week, then a Quarter Final clash with Middlesbrough if the Blues overcome their Championship opposition. Were City to reach the FA Cup Final, set for May 27, then Gabriel Jesus would also be back in time for that.
