Barcelona are reportedly ready to listen to any offers that Manchester City may present to them for Ivan Rakitic, according to reports from Marca.
A 70% expenditure cap for La Liga clubs on wages has forced Barcelona’s hands and must the Spanish giants must sell some players in order to fund new contracts for club legends Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.
The Barcelona have been put in a difficult position after new deals were negotiated for Neymar and Luis Suarez, bringing the club close to that wage cap.
Barcelona are keen to keep both Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta at the club but to do so they must sell, therefore they are set to listen to any offers for Aleix Vidal, Jeremy Mathieu, Arda Turan and finally Ivan Rakitic.
The destination for said players is yet to be known, but Pep Guardiola is an admirer of Ivan Rakitic and Rakitic has previously expressed desire to work under the Manchester City boss.
