According to reports, Gabriel Jesus isn’t eligible to face Everton on Sunday due to Manchester City’s failure to register to player.
The fact that the club have yet to register the player and file the paperwork despite knowing about the transfer for over four months is set to raise some serious questions – is there something wrong with the deal or are Manchester City incompetent in completing the paperwork?
This comes just days after Manchester City were hit with an FA anti-doping charge after an administrative error, so alarm bells will be ringing within the club.
Pep Guardiola is due to face the press later on this afternoon and is sure to be asked to clear up the situation and confirm whether Gabriel Jesus will be eligible to play or not, but it’s highly unlikely at this stage.
