The 19-year-old French youth international, who scored for City’s first-team in the FA Cup against Chelsea last season, will not return to the Dutch second tier side after the winter break, and will return to City’s EDS squad or head out on a new loan deal.
Faupala was one of four City starlets loaned out to NAC last summer as part of a new working arrangement, along with Brandon Barker, Ashley Smith-Brown and Thomas Agyepong. The Frenchman only made four appearances in total for NAC’s first-team.
NAC chief John Peek recently admitted that while the Dutch side are happy with their partnership with City, but the current loanees are ‘not working’. Only Barker seems to be enjoying any sort of form, with the others playing minor roles.
Peek added that many of City’s better young players don’t want to move to NAC Breda because they play in the second division of Dutch football, making it a less than appealing prospect for some of the more ambitious youth players.
