21-year-old Manchester City loanee, Sinan Bytyqi, has been diagnosed with a suspected heart condition during his time in Holland with Go Ahead Eagles, according to Voetbal International.
The Kosovan international was originally ruled out of club duty with an ankle injury, but tests have indicated a diagnosis far worse.
Neither Manchester City or Go Ahead Eagles have officially commented on the matter as they are waiting to find out more details about Sinan’s condition. Then they will have to make decisions about his future at the two clubs, and whether he will be able to resume his career in football.
Bytyqi spent last season on loan in Holland with SC Cambuur until he damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in a game against Heracles in March of 2015.
Go Ahead Eagles saw enough from the midfielder to take him back to Holland on loan once more, and Bytiqi has made four appearances for the club since joining.
Bytyqi has come through the Manchester City academy and signed a contract extension earlier this year, which will keep him at the Etihad until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Everyone at City Watch sends their best wishes to Sinan and we hope to see him back on the pitch very soon.
