Manchester City fans can expect a unique away kit colour scheme next year, with the always reliable Footy Headlines revealing that the 2017-18 away shirt will be CLARET.
This isn’t a new colour for City shirts, but hasn’t been used in recent years. A modern example of a claret City shirt is the 2002-03 Manchester City third kit, which was made by Le Coq Sportif, but the reintroduction of the colour scheme will mean a fresh away design next season.
In addition to the shirt, claret shorts are expected to be used, while the colour of the socks is as yet unknown.
City’s 17-18 away kit is expected to be released in July 2017.
What do you think? Could this work or will we end up looking like a West Ham or Aston Villa clone?
