Pep Guardiola has denied personally contacting Alexis Sanchez after reports from Chile claimed the Spaniard had phoned the Arsenal star after his weekend hat-trick.
Earlier today reports from Chile suggested that Pep Guaridola had made a personal phone call to Alexis Sanchez in order to convince the Arsenal star to join Manchester City in the future.
However, when asked about the reports in his press conference today, Pep Guardiola was quick to deny the claims that he called Arsenal’s hitman.
Speaking to the media, he said:
“Absolutely false. The journalist is a liar. Guys, this journalist is a liar.
El Mercurio claimed Guardiola had already contacted Sanchez on at least two separate occasions and suggested that this is a tactic Guardiola has employed before with then Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.
Pep Guardiola denies claims that he called Alexis Sanchez, saying the claims are "absolutely false" and says "the journalist is a liar."
