Alexander Isak is one of the most highly-rated teenager strikers in Europe and the 17-year-old, who plays his club football for AIK in Sweden’s Allsvenskan, is wanted by many of the continent’s biggest clubs.
And according to Swedish news outlet Sportbladet, Manchester City are one of five remaining clubs still in with a chance of signing the exciting young forward, who is ‘Sweden’s most hunted talent of all time’.
To sign Isak, who has 10 goals in 24 league appearances this year, despite his tender age, City will have to see off competition from Juventus, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
It’s quite a list of clubs who want Isak, an indication of just how talented the Sweden under-21 international is. Sportbladet claims that the ‘concrete negotiations’ between AIK and the five clubs in with a chance will soon enter the final stages, with one of them likely to sign the wonderkid.
It’s unclear which of the clubs is in the driver’s seat to snap up Alexander Isak, but AIK can expect a big transfer fee from whoever lands one of Europe’s hottest properties.
