He is already an icon, a Manchester City legend who will forever be remembered for that goal against QPR. But the great Sergio Agüero has struck 149 times in addition to the most memorable goal in Premier League history, having scored his 150th goal for City in last weekend’s draw with Middlesbrough.
It all began on 15 August 2011 in a 4–0 Premier League win over Swansea City. Kun made a substitute appearance in the 59th minute, and it just took nine minutes for him to score his first goal, a tap-in from a cross by Micah Richards. After an assist, he scored again with a 30-yard strike, capping off an unforgettable debut.
Not only has Agüero consistently been the Premier League’s best striker in the half decade that has followed, he boasts the best minutes/goal ratio in league history, and can now be argued as one of, if not the best striker since the formation of the Premier League as we know it, in 1992.
In this 30 minute video, you can watch and relive all 150 of Kun’s goals. May many more follow!
