Manchester City supporters know all about 20-year-old Celtic sensation Moussa Dembélé after he struck twice for the Scottish giants in the recent 3-3 draw between the sides in the Champions League.
The French under-21 international was a handful for City’s defence on that night and his performance has reportedly drawn the attention of several European giants – City included.
According to an exclusive report by the Sunday Express, both Manchester clubs – City and United – are vying with Chelsea and Real Madrid for Dembélé, who the Glaswegian club paid just £500,000 to Fulham for last summer.
He already has 17 goals in 22 appearances this season for Celtic, spread across three competitions, including a hat-trick against arch-rivals Rangers in September.
Real Madrid are said to be the favourites to sign Dembélé, with Zinedine Zidane a fan of his compatriot, but the super-rich Premier League trio could rival the Spanish giants.
With Kelechi Iheanacho on the books and Gabriel Jesus due to arrive in January, City already have two talented young forwards and may opt to avoid a bidding war for the Celtic hitman.
