Kevin De Bruyne is in contention to feature for Manchester City against West Brom on Saturday, a source close to the player has told City Watch.
De Bruyne suffered a knock last weekend against Southampton that kept him out of Wednesday’s Manchester derby in the EFL Cup. However, he trained without any problems on Thursday and is likely to be named in the squad that will travel to Birmingham.
The 25-year-old Belgium international has two goals and four assists in eight Premier League appearances this season, but his form has already been interrupted by two injuries.
KDB’s form dipped prior to his absence, with the prolific playmaker registering no key passes against Barcelona or Southampton. In the two games prior to that, against Swansea and Everton he managed seven in comparison. However, his return is a great boost to Pep Guardiola, with the Blues urgently needing to overturn an alarming slump in form that sees them without a win in six matches.
