Manchester City vs. Manchester United (EFL Cup): Starting Lineups & TV Information

Here we go again… it’s derby day! This one has a strangely muted feel with it being a fourth round game in the EFL Cup, no one’s top priority. Even so, it’s a trophy worth winning, and City are the reigning holders following their memorable penalty shootout win over Liverpool last season. Today, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho do battle again and with both sides not in the best of form, a win could be a great boost for either.

Mike Dean, who has taken charge of each Manchester club once this season, both of them 4-1 wins, is itasked with overseeing tonight’s big game.

With upcoming Premier League and European games in mind, there are plenty of changes tonight, but City are very understrength compared to their neighbours. Here are how Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola line their troops up tonight:

United XI: De Gea, Valencia, Rojo, Blind, Shaw, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Pogba, Rashford, Ibrahimovic

City XI: Caballero, Maffeo, Otamendi, Kompany, Clichy, Fernando, Aleix Garcia, Nolito, Jesús Navas, Sané, Iheanacho

Today’s match can be viewed on Sky Sports 1 in the UK. A full list of TV coverage from around the world can be found here.
