Turkey striker Enes Ünal continues to take the Eredivisie by storm, and today notched his eighth goal in eight games since joining FC Twente on loan from Manchester City in the summer.
Ünal, who also made his competitive international debut for the Turkish national team against Ukraine during the international break, is averaging a goal every 70 minutes in the Dutch top-flight and City appear to have unearthed another gem, one of many currently on the books.
Not to be overlooked is his fellow City loanee Bersant Celina, who assisted Ünal’s goal in today’s 2-2 draw with PEC Zwolle. Celina, who was yesterday linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, also has a hat-trick of goals in the Eredivisie. Together with yet another City loan boy, Yaw Yeboah, the three are forming a potent trio up front for Twente.
Despite the talent of Kelechi Iheanacho and imminent arrival of Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus, Ünal’s form could interest Pep Guardiola, who is always keen to work with promising young players.
Ünal’s latest goal, supplied by Celina, was a clean and clinical finish. Watch it here:
