Manchester City’s academy has developed into one of Europe’s best, with elite young talents gracing every age group. One of those is England under-17 international Jadon Sancho, an exciting attacker who joined the City academy as a 14-year-old in March, 2015.
Such was the potential and ability of Sancho, City paid a £66,000 fee to Watford for the 14-year-old, which could rise to £500,000 based on his progress. Sancho is quickly rising up the ranks at the City Football Academy and was among the scorers as City’s under-19 team beat Borussia Mönchengladbach U19s earlier this month.
It isn’t just his club that Sancho is shining for though – he also represents England and scored an absolute beauty for the U17s against Croatia on Wednesday evening in Pula. After dribbling past two Croatian defenders, Sancho smartly placed his shot over the head of a defender on the line. England won the match 5-0 with Sancho’s goal the pick of the bunch.
Check out Jadon’s strike. Hopefully we’ll be seeing goals like this from him in the first team in years to come!
