Round two! Manchester City have spent most of the week in South Wales after the fixture list paired the Blues against Swansea City twice in a matter of days. City won the first half of the double header during the week, beating Swansea 2-1 to advance to the fourth round of the EFL Cup, where they will face neighbours Manchester United.
This afternoon, attention shifts back to the Premier League with Pep Guardiola looking it to make ten wins out of ten and Swansea gaffer Francesco Guidolin fighting desperately to save his job. A win could just do that for the Italian, but Pep Guardiola’s City will be hungry to maintain their perfect start to the campaign.
Both coaches have shuffled the pack from the cup game with changes to their lineups today. Pep Guardiola has decided to field Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling and Aguero in a fearsome attacking four. The referee is Neil Swarbrick and here are the teams Guidolin and Guardiola have gone with.
Swansea XI: Fabianski, Amat, van der Hoorn, Naughton, Rangel, Fer, Cork, Britton, Routledge, Sigurdsson, Llorente
City XI: Bravo, Sagna, Otamendi, Stones, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Silva (c), De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero
