Spain winger Nolito has made a flying start to life at Manchester City. Though not the fastest or most spectacular player, his tactical intelligence and end product have meant he is already contributing heavily to City’s early season form. He is a quintessential Pep Guardiola signing, who understands how the Catalan coach likes to play and is already delivering.
5 – Nolito has scored three and assisted two more in his first five games for Manchester City in all competitions. Boost.

Spanish newspaper Marca ran a survey of almost 20,000 users to discover who they thought the best signing across Europe had been this season, and 29-year-old Nolito ranked first with 12,200 votes, ahead of Mario Götze and Mats Hummels.
Nolito cost £13.8 million, a bargain for a regular Spain international in a market that inflated like never before this summer. While City splashed out huge fees on some players, they were also one of the clubs to show there is still value to be found with the Nolito signing, as well as £20.1 million capture, İlkay Gündoğan.
City’s new number one, Claudio Bravo, also placed in the top ten, following his move from Barcelona for an initial fee of £13.5 million.
