Despite an eye-catching performance coming off the bench yesterday, Samir Nasri could be on his way out of Manchester City before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.
Earlier today, Sam Lee at Goal reported that Nasri is likely to leave the Etihad, with a delegation from Besiktas expected in England today to try and conclude a move.
From France this afternoon comes big news that La Liga side Sevilla have entered the race for the 29-year-old playmaker. L’Equipe is reporting that Sevilla’s renowned sporting director, Monchi, has activated the Andalusian club’s interest in Nasri this afternoon and hopes to quickly conclude a transfer.
Besiktas still hope to lure Nasri to Istanbul, but La Liga offers much greater exposure, and like Besiktas, Sevilla could offer Champions League football this season.
The French publiciation adds that an outcome on Nasri’s future should arrive on Monday or Tuesday. Pep Guardiola’s comments after yesterday’s win over West Ham offered hope that Nasri could stick around, but it appears that his future may lie away from Manchester after all.
