It’s safe to say, Gabriel Jesus and Brazil as a team had a poor start to their Olympics campaign on home turf. But the Seleção have improved and are current putting Honduras to the sword in the semi-final at the Maracanã.
Neymar opened the score after just 15 seconds, the fastest goal in Olympics history. Then Manchester City new boy Gabriel Jesus, a £27 million summer signing from Palmeiras, rose to the occasion with his second and third goals of the Olympics before half-time.
His first goal was a lovely finish after being played through by Luan.
Less than ten minutes later, Neymar set up Gabriel Jesus for his second of the match.
After the Olympics, Gabriel Jesus will return to Palmeiras until the end of 2016, and then is expected to link up with his new City teammates for the second half of the season.
