Manchester City are on the verge of signing Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo for an initial fee in the region of £13.8 million, but are not done there.
According to journalist Sique Rodríguez on Cadena SER, City want a second employee from the Catalan club – but not a player! Club doctor, Ricard Pruna, is a very important figure at the Camp Nou, known for his excellent work in the medical department, and Pep Guardiola wants him to join his staff at the Etihad.
Pruna is well known for helping Barcelona players avoid injuries and would be quite a coup by City, who had the worst injury record in the Premier League, if they could acquire him.
Bruna has worked under nine coaches at Barcelona since 1997 and they would not want to lose him. It isn’t clear how attainable the doctor is, but City hope to add him to an ever growing list of former Barcelona men employed by the club.
