Yaya Touré left out of Champions League squad

Yesterday the City squad set off to Bucharest ahead of their Champions League qualifier and it appears that Yaya Touré was left out of the travelling squad.

Yaya was reported to have been injured for the Sunderland game at the weekend however journalists are very confident that the Ivorian powerhouse isn’t injured for the midweek clash – he has simply been left behind by in Manchester Pep Guardiola.

Another man who didn’t make the cut despite being named in the original 21-man squad is defender Jason Denayer and it is rumoured that he has requested to be sent out on loan again – his departure is imminent.

However, Pep Guardiola was hopeful that Nicolas Otamendi would be fit to play midweek and he was on the plane to Bucharest.

The full squad for City’s game against FC Steaua București is:

Hart, Caballero, Gunn, Sagna, Zabaleta, Otamendi, Stones, Adarabioyo, Kolarov, Clichy, Angeliño, Fernando, Fernandinho, Delph, Nolito, Silva, Navas, De Bruyne, Sterling, Iheanacho, Aguero.
