Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign Gabriel Jesus, his agent has confirmed to Calciomercato.com today.
In news that may ease the fears of City fans, after a big story from Brazil earlier than Manchester United planned to hijack City’s move for the 19-year-old, Gabriel Jesus’ agent, Cristiano Simões, appears to have confirmed that the Brazilian forward is heading to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Simões, who also owns a percentage of the player’s sporting rights, said:
“Deal with Manchester City? I can say we are defining some contractual issues, we’re working on that.
“Possibility of him joining Inter? We’re very advanced with Manchester City. We’ll see.”
There have been many different stories about Gabriel Jesus’ future, the latest being the United hijack attempt, but these words from his own agent could be the most reliable information yet, and if true, the Etihad could soon be the home of Brazil’s next big superstar.
