Manchester City unveiled the 2016-17 away kit earlier today in China, and the colour combination of red, black and yellow are eye-catching to say the least.
Red and black has been a popular combination for City’s away kits in the past, with an AC Milan style strip used in the famous 1969 FA Cup Final when Neil Young’s goal downed Leicester. So far, response to this one so far has been less positive on social media than previous efforts.
“Truly awful!” said one City fan when we posted pictures earlier, with another adding, “No design cohesion—a random colour assigner must’ve been used.” Not everyone hates it – just many, it seems – with one Blue saying “much nicer than I thought it was gonna be”, as tends to be the case when Sergio Agüero models a kit!
Only the third kit is left to be officially revealed, but we already posted some snaps of that.
Check out the new Manchester City away kit, which can be pre-ordered at the official site.
