According to SPORT, Manchester City have broken the bank in order to beat the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus to the signature of Gabriel Jesus in a deal worth €32 million (£26.4 million).
Gabriel Jesus has been attracting the attention of multiple European clubs due to performances for Palmeiras and he has signed a 5-year deal at City – he will however return to Brazil to finish off the season with Palmeiras as they try and win the Brazilian league which ends in December.
The €32 million fee will be split amongst the club, the player himself and his agent. The club will receive just €9.2 million, 25% of the fee (€8 million) will go to the player and his two agents will receive €7.2 million each.
SPORT report that the signing is set to be announced in the coming days, after Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano chose to throw everything at the deal in order to avoid disappointment.
