Manchester City are involved in a four-way battle for the latest superstar to emerge from Brazil, Gabriel Jesus, according to Globo Esporte.
City’s interest in the 19-year-old Palmeiras sensation has been previously reported and they are one of four specific options for the forward, it is reported. The other three are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, and the Bundesliga champions are said to be in the lead.
Bayern are close to selling Mario Götze back to Borussia Dortmund for around €28 million and will then look to pay €24 million for Gabriel Jesus. If City can convince the Brazil youth international to join, he would be the third elite teenage talent to arrive at the Etihad this summer after Oleksandr Zinchenko and Marlos Moreno.
