Atletico Nacional coach Reinaldo Rueda has claimed that Colombian sensation Marlos Moreno is “very close” to completing his move to Manchester City.
The 19-year old forward, who is currently participating at the Copa Libertadores, has been widely linked with Manchester City with reports suggesting that a deal has already been wrapped up.
“Everything with Marlos is very close” claimed his club coach Reinaldo Reuda. “It is a decision that has been made by his agent and representatives.”
However, with Atletico holding a 2-0 first leg advantage over Sao Paulo in the semi-final, Reuda hopes his star player remains focused at the task at hand: “We need and I hope he does not isolate himself from our goal [of reaching the final].”
Manchester City beat several top European clubs for his signature in a deal worth £8.32m according to The Mirror. He is expected to be instantly loaned out to Spain with Deportivo La Coruna reportedly at the front of the queue.
