Marca: Pep Guardiola will sign his Manchester City contract on Friday

Despite being announced, presented, and even taking training several times, Pep Guardiola is still not an actual Manchester City employee, according to Marca.

The Spanish newspaper reports that due to the complexity of his contract, the signing has been delayed for a while. On Friday, he will finally sign his contract five months after first being announced, officially and legally making him the manager of Manchester City. Sports lawyers are in Manchester to oversee the signing, which will take place tomorrow morning.

At many clubs, this might have caused panic, but Guardiola is known to be a man of great integrity and gave a verbal agreement to the club long ago. He is a close friend of both CEO Ferran Soriano and director of football Txiki Begiristain, meaning this would never have been a cause for concern in the Etihad’s corridors of power.

Pep is already fully immersed in his new job, as he looks to make City better than ever with his world-renowned style of coaching.
