Time to catch up on today’s news – here’s your City Summary:

Conflicting reports today. Some say Nolito has already had his medical, while others believe it was taking place tonight. Either way, Nolito will shortly be a new Manchester City player.

So are City going to buy a pair of new full-backs after all? There had been precious few links until a story from Spain today that Bruno Peres (Roma) and Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg) are on City’s radar for the flanks.

You know that thing Chelsea do where they sign loads of players you don’t know much about and profit on them? City seem to be getting in on that after selling Florian Lejeune to La Liga side Eibar today for a tidy profit.

Another player left the club today, this one on a temporary basis, with 20-year-old Jack Byrne heading to Blackburn on loan for a year.

Highly-rated Lee Carsley, who has been working in the England youth set-up lately, is poised to take over as coach of City’s talented under-18 generation.

Links to Juventus right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner had gone quiet lately after several reports, but returned today with a story that there is serious interest from the Etihad in the Swiss defender.

This one could have gone higher up the list, but has a feeling of ‘link a lot of big clubs with a superstar player’ about it. City have today been linked with James Rodriguez, one of Real Madrid’s unwanted galacticos.
