Gazzetta dello Sport: Pablo Zabaleta agrees to join Roma, clubs in advanced talks

Earlier this afternoon, we reported news from Italy that Pablo Zabaleta was close to a £2.5 million move to Serie A club Roma, with Manchester City not wanting to stand in his way.

The only remaining question was if Zabaleta would agree to the move after eight successful years in Manchester. In recent minutes, Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that the 31-year-old has withdrawn his reservations about the move and agreed to sign a multi-year deal with the Italian club.

According to the respected newspaper, the clubs are now in advanced talks over a €3 million (£2.5 million) deal and working through the final details. An announcement from both sides could come shortly that a true fan favourite is leaving Manchester City.
