Manchester City will sign Spain winger Nolito, claims Spanish TV host

At the beginning of a Spain vs Czech Republic telecast, the last thing you expect to hear is some Manchester City transfer news.

However, at the start of the Tele5 broadcast, host Manu Carreño offered some information on the future of one of La Liga’s standout performers, Nolito.

A late bloomer at 29, the Celta Vigo attacker has been excellent in recent seasons and persistently linked with Barcelona as cover for the Messi-Suarez-Neymar holy trinity, but Carreño boldly claimed that he is a ‘step away’ from joining Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Carreño added that a Tottenham scout was at Spain vs Czech Republic to watch Nolito, who started for the Spanish national team in their Euro 2016 opener today.

We can’t comment on the reliability of this news or the man who shared, but Carreño seemed quite confident of his two pieces of information concerning the future of the Spain winger.
