Could Yaya Touré have a future at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola?
According to renowned Inter site FcInterNews, in the last few hours, the club have told Touré that they would like to keep him next season, despite the arrival of Pep Guardiola who once sold him at Barcelona.
This doesn’t guarantee that Yaya will be a City player next season, only that City want to keep him around. If Touré’s personal desire is to leave, and keeping in mind a rumoured gentleman’s agreement allowing him to go this summer, an exit is still possible.
But as FcInterNews point out, his agent Dimitri Seluk will have to work very hard to convince City to release Yaya on a free transfer. Inter’s strategy to sign the 33-year-old Ivorian involves being able to land him at no cost from City, so this is a blow to Roberto Mancini’s plans if the information is reliable.
