Time to catch up on today’s news – here’s your City Summary:

We start today with a bit of Laporte talk and according to El Correo, City are ready to trigger his release clause, but the defender has agreed to listen to what the Athletic Bilbao board have to say before making a decision on his future:

Last night brought the news that City are in advanced talks about bringing Aubameyang to the club, however the club are reportedly “baffled” by the reports (a clear brief if you ask me):

The Dortmund forward’s representatives echo those remarks from City:

According to German football expert Uli Kohler, an offer in the region of €80m would make Dortmund could be enough to prise the talented forward away from Dortmund:

Another day, another big player linked with City – the newest name in the rumour mill is Real Madrid ace James Rodríguez:

Manchester City have reportedly removed midfielders Paul Pogba and Toni Kross from their list of targets and will instead keep Fernando and Yaya Touré at the club – Fernando’s agent is “100% sure” of his client remaining in Manchester:

However, as always there are some conflicting reports and Tuttosport claim that Yaya could leave on a free transfer as long as it isn’t to an English club:

Adding fuel to the fire tonight is a report by Alfredo Pedullà that Yaya has a gentleman’s agreement with City that allows him to leave.

And finally, Douglas Costa has claimed that Pep Guardiola has a clause in his contract that will prevent him from purchasing Bayern Munich players, something City have moved quickly to deny:

That’s it for today. Keep your eyes peeled on @City_Watch and the site, day and night, as we work to deliver the latest City news, views, and other high-quality content.
