Time to catch up on today’s news – here’s your City Summary:

Kneecaps or no kneecaps, Ilkay Gundogan is the man Pep Guardiola wants for his new-look City midfield, according to the Daily Mail tonight. Is he a player worth taking a risk on, given the severity of his injury? Probably.

Toni Kroos is another midfielder persistently linked, and what an addition he would be. Real Madrid may have different ideas, though, because after all he still plays a prominent part for them.

News of City’s interest in Leroy Sané first emerged in January, then went quiet after it was revealed he’d stay in Gelsenkirchen for now. There are now reports that both City and United want the wunderkind, so City had better make their move soon before someone else does. Want to learn more about Sané? Click here.

Martin Demichelis will never play for Manchester City again, but will be paying a fine before his contract expires. And possibly having a bet on Atlético to win the Champions League final. Good odds, IMO.

Who will be the last man to turn out the lights when Manchester City liquidates in the distant future – Brian Kidd or Richard Wright?

His performance against Swansea was quite bad, but once again Kelechi Iheanacho found the back of the net and finished the season as the Premier League’s most efficient goal scorer. The Nigerian has some future ahead of him!

On the topic of City starlets, that boy Brahim scored another beautiful goal tonight, which proved to be the winner for Spain against Germany in the U17 Euros semi-final.

Depending on whether you read the English, Spanish or Russian media, there are different stories on where Pellegrini will end up. In Russia, they’re quite confident he’s heading to Saint Petersburg this summer.

Speaking of Pellegrini, here’s a stat he can point to when trying to explain City’s abject failure in the league this season.
