Yaya Touré’s future looks increasingly likely to be away from Manchester City. After six seasons and five major trophies at the club, the 33-year-old is heavily linked with a move away from the Etihad.
His talkative agent Dimitri Seluk gave some exclusive comments to FcInterNews today, saying Inter boss Roberto Mancini is ‘crazy about Yaya’ and wants to reunite with him in Milan.
Seluk revealed that there should be significant news on Touré’s future about ten days from now, with others also interested in the Ivorian superstar. In a rare show of respect to Manchester City, Seluk, who has criticised the club and its chiefs yearly since Touré’s arrival in 2010, said all questions should be addressed to them because Yaya is still under contract until 2017.
Seluk admitted that he and Yaya can’t formally open talks with other clubs until City give the ‘OK’, which they apparently have yet to. Touré has ‘many options and opportunities’, with Inter being just one of them. Despite recently turning 33, Seluk believes ‘everybody would like Yaya’, even claiming Barcelona fans he speaks to would have the midfield talisman back.
To end the interview, Seluk again stated that in about ten days there will be news on Yaya’s future. Is it the end for him in Manchester or could he yet play a part in the Pep Guardiola era?
