Kevin De Bruyne is ready to return to action for Manchester City after two months on the sidelines with a serious ankle and knee ligament injury.
City Watch has learned from a source close to the player that De Bruyne completed 45 minutes during a match at the CFA last week and “everything went fine”. He has since trained normally and is in good shape ahead of his return.
De Bruyne is on the squad list that will travel to Bournemouth this weekend and could get his first minutes since inspiring City to the Capital One Cup final in January.
Despite missing such a long stretch of the season, De Bruyne still leads City’s assist charts in all competitions and has contributed twelve goals in an excellent debut season since joining for a club record fee from Wolfsburg.
