After snapping up Enes Ünal from Bursaspor in the summer, City could raid the Turkish league for another highly-rated young striker.
Reports from Turkey, an active hunting ground for City scouts of late, suggest that there is significant interest in 19-year-old Trabzonspor striker Muhammet Besir.
Compared to goal machine Burak Yilmaz, Besir has been promoted to Trabzonspor’s first team this season and has scored 3 goals in 5 appearances, including one in his only league appearance.
Reports say that if City do follow up their interest and glowing scouting reports by signing Besir, he would be loaned out for experience like Ünal has been.
Ünal was signed to much hype in the summer, after an incredible goal scoring record for Bursaspor’s youth team, but has been struggling for minutes on loan at Genk. But at just 18 years of age, he is a work in progress, and Besir would be much the same if City sign him.
