Rolando Mandragora is one of Italy’s most promising young talents and according to Sky Italia is in City’s sights.
A technically gifted midfielder capped at every youth level by Italy, 18-year-old Mandragora is owned by Genoa but currently gaining experience in Serie B at Pescara. Being a midfielder and playing for Pescara, Sky make the obvious comparison to Marco Verratti who made a name for himself at the coastal club.
Verratti’s current club PSG are mentioned as City’s rival suitors for Mandragora, with both so-called nouveau riche clubs described as having a ‘strong interest’ in the player.
Napoli, Inter, Juventus are also said to be keen on Mandragora, but would find it tough to compete with City and PSG if a bidding war commences.
