Manchester City’s hopes of signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal appear to be fading, with a host of reports in recent days saying PSG have reignited their interest in the Arsenal star, despite also trying to close a world record deal for Barcelona’s Neymar.
The Parisiens are showing incredible ambition in trying to put together a three-pronged attack of Neymar, Alexis and Edinson Cavani, and while Arsenal would obviously prefer to hang on to Alexis, a sale to Ligue 1 is preferable than one to Manchester City.
And the famed Paris United, who have a glowing reputation on all matters PSG and who yesterday reported an agreement between PSG and Alexis, have today dropped a bombshell. According to them, Alexis Sanchez is currently in Paris and staying at the Royal Monceau, a luxury hotel located at 37 avenue Hoche, 8th arrondissement.

This by no means guarantees a move even if true. He could simply be checking out Paris while he considers his options or he could be there on holiday. However, there is growing evidence that City’s pursuit of the 28-year-old may be unsuccessful, with Arsene Wenger refusing to sanction that deal, despite it being Alexis’ preference.
With a project that could soon involve Neymar, a move to PSG, something that Alexis reportedly wasn’t keen on earlier this summer, might suddenly seem more appealing.
Is the Alexis Sanchez saga nearing its end at last?
