Manchester City have moved fast and appear to have seen off strong interest from Chelsea to sign Danilo from Real Madrid for a fee now being reported as £26.5million with no add-ons.
The deal is not yet official, but things are moving very quickly, and Spanish journalist Edu Pidal has told the Onda Cero radio station tonight that the Brazilian will leave Real Madrid’s training camp in the coming hours and become a Manchester City player tomorrow.

Both City and Real Madrid are in the United States and face each other on 26 July, a match in which Danilo could now face his old club.
Of particular interest, a number of journalists tonight, including Martin Blackburn of The Sun and Stu Brennan of the Manchester Evening News, have revealed that Pep Guardiola plans to make full use of Danilo’s versatility by deploying him as a right-back, left-back and a holding midfielder.
City appear to have abandoned their pursuit of Ryan Bertrand and it seems that Danilo will rotate with both Kyle Walker and, assuming he arrives, Benjamin Mendy, in both full-back positions.
