After news earlier today from various Scottish newspaper that he was a target for Celtic, Manchester City midfielder Olivier Ntcham is on the verge of joining the Scottish champions according to a report.
French news portal Foot Mercato reports this evening that 21-year-old Ntcham is already undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Celtic Park in a deal worth around £4million.
An agreement between the two clubs is ‘90% complete’, with just a few things to iron out. And the transfer could be made official in the coming hours.
The Scottish Sun reported earlier today that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers wants Ntcham as his new number 10, and he will be one of the Hoops’ biggest signings of the summer if, as now seems certain, a deal is completed.
Ntcham spent two years on loan in Italy at Genoa, but they chose not to use their option to buy him at the end of the season, with his career now poised to continue north of the border in Scotland.
21:45 UPDATE: The story from France is true with the Daily Record posting a photograph of Ntcham arriving in Glasgow.
