Angeliño will become the fourth Spaniard from the Etihad and fifth City player in total to join the newly-promoted Eredivisie side on loan ahead of the new season.
His arrival will solve the club’s problematic left-back area and will be the 20-year-old’s third loan spell of 2017. Angeliño joined Girona in January along with teammate Pablo Maffeo, but in less than a month it became clear that the coach didn’t want him, and City relocated him to another Segunda División club, Real Mallorca, who were ultimately relegated. He previously spent a season at sister club New York City FC in 2015.
The former Spain under-17 international will link up Manu García, Thierry Ambrose, Paolo Fernandes and Pablo Marí at the Rat Verlegh Stadion in Breda. García, who was pivotal in NAC’s promotion push last season, recently returned for a second loan spell and now he and the others will be joined by Angeliño.
