Real Madrid midfielder Isco reveals future plans amid Manchester City interest – report

Manchester City and Isco: a better love story than Twilight. But will it end with the 25-year-old Real Madrid playmaker joining Pep Guardiola’s side in the next few months?

The answer is no. After more stories linking the midfielder with a move to Man City in recent months, you can rest assured that there will be no saga this summer.

After sealing the La Liga title with Real Madrid yesterday, Isco was quizzed about his future and made it quite clear that he will remain at the Santiago Bernabéu next season.

Speaking to the Cadena COPE radio station, Isco said, “No need for the fans to worry, I’m staying at Real Madrid.”

There was speculation for months that he could be one of the players to make way this summer for new signings, but he has been in undroppable form and has inspired Real Madrid to the La Liga title and their place in the Champions League final.

City have long admired the Spain international and almost had him in 2013, until a phone call from Zinedine Zidane, now the coach of Real Madrid, convinced him to snub a reunion with Manuel Pellegrini for a move to Madrid.

It’s safe to say that ‘Manchester City target Isco’ will hit the headlines again in the future, but there will be no ‘Isco Disco’ in this transfer window.
