Manchester City will look to fend off serious competition from across Europe to sign the ‘golden boy’ of AC Milan’s youth system, Giuseppe Iglio.
The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are also known to be interested in signing the 16-year-old central midfielder, considered to be one of Italy’s greatest talents of his generation.
But according to an exclusive report by well-connected Italian news portal TMW, City are ready to present a ‘top-level project’ to the Italy under-17 international in an effort to woo him to the Etihad Stadium.
Iglio can sign a professional contract this summer and will be a big coup for any club’s youth system if, as seems to be likely now, he leaves the San Siro. And the signals from Italy are that Manchester City are at the front of the chasing pack.
