Paul Pogba ruled out of Manchester derby and he isn’t the only one

Injuries are hitting both Manchester clubs heading into tomorrow night’s derby, not just Manchester City, for whom David Silva is a real doubt with John Stones already rule out days ago. Gabriel Jesus could finally return, but İlkay Gündoğan remains on the sidelines.

News coming from the Manchester United camp in recent minutes paints a grim picture for them, too, with news that the most expensive footballer of all time, Paul Pogba, is out of the Manchester derby through injury.

He will join Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcos Rojo and Juan Mata on the sidelines for United. Jones and Smalling “have not made themselves available”, much to Jose Mourinho’s irritation.

Andre Herrera has been passed fit in what is a boost for United, but City will fancy their chances of putting at least one past the likely Daley Blind/Eric Bailly partnership in the heart of United’s defence or Pep really will have something to complain about.

We spoke to the ‘enemy’ ahead of tomorrow’s derby, with The Drawty from The United Stand offering a United point of view.

Be sure to catch us on Facebook Live at 18:30 tonight, when Adam Bailey previews the derby and takes your questions.

For a limited time, you can get your hands on a Manchester City official shirt from just £30 for adults and £22.50 for children.

Make sure you grab one!
