Jurgen Klopp confirms Liverpool’s stance on signing Joe Hart

Earlier this week, Neil Custis of The Sun reported in an exclusive that Joe Hart was set to return to the Premier League in a £20 million move to Liverpool. That was contradicted less than a day later when ESPN FC said Liverpool had absolutely no interest in the 30-year-old, believing their own goalkeepers, Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, to be better.

With two such conflicting stories, who better to ask than Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp? Speaking to the press ahead of Liverpool’s weekend clash with Crystal Palace, Klopp made it clear that he has no interest in England’s number one, nor will he in future.

“He’s a fantastic goalkeeper but it’s not for us at the moment or in the future.” the German coach said.

“We have a goalkeeper playing a brilliant season at Huddersfield. There is competition here already.”

Chelsea, Everton and West Ham are other clubs rumoured to be keen on Hart, and there have even been suggestions that Manchester United could come in for him should David De Gea leave for Real Madrid.

For a limited time, you can get your hands on a Manchester City official shirt from just £30 for adults and £22.50 for children.

Make sure you grab one!
