In a press conference today, Arsene Wenger announced that Arsenal had not in fact agreed a deal to sign Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer in the summer.

When talking about the Kolasinac deal, Wenger stated:
“Nothing, no. We can deny that story at the moment. Nothing has been concluded with anybody. I think it is important we do not talk about transfers.”

Kolasinac, 23, has made 21 appearances in the Bundesliga this season scoring 3 and assisting 5 in the process. Although usually deployed in the left back position, the Bosnian has shown his ability to play at centre back and holding midfielder as well.

With Clichy most likely on his way out of the club and Kolarov now only capable of playing centre back, Kolasinac would surely provide a good option for the club next season, especially on a free transfer.
