In Spain, they say Jesús Navas is returning to Sevilla and has even enrolled his young boy in a local school. In Italy, the claim is that Monchi, the famous sporting director who is leaving Sevilla for Roma this summer, will make Navas his first signing. And in Turkey, there are claims that Besiktas could land the 31-year-old winger full-back with a huge salary offer.

The truth, according to Seville-based Estadio Deportivo who have been contacted by Navas’ representatives, is that the Spaniard hasn’t entered negotiations with any clubs yet and his future is still open.

Navas could be one of the great bargains of the upcoming transfer window, with his Manchester City deal due to expire. Sevilla appear the heavy favourites to regain his services, but reports in Italy suggest Roma are making a strong push to acquire him.

A fourth option, Estadio Deportivo claims, is that Navas could actually renew his City contract after a string of solid performances in a new right-back role, which would surprise almost everyone.

Navas’ agency say “He will choose the offer that fits him best,” and despite claims of done deals it appears that we will have to wait to learn what is next for Jesús Navas.
